26th of November is National Linguistics Day in the UK

It’s a day for celebrating linguistics in any way you think would be good. Organise activities, share thoughts, in classrooms, libraries, at events, anywhere you think would be good

Rebecca Mitchell from Linguistics HQ came up with the idea for this day and launched it in 2024. We spoke to Rebecca recently

Rebecca is happy for people and institutions to celebrate the day in any way as long as it helps people to talk, think and spread awareness about linguistics and the very many things which it includes.
